Meeting with Harrogate Cycle Group

On monday night i attended a meeting with Harrogate Cycle Group, we discussed various topics including cycle lanes and the new M&S store soon to be built on Leeds road, i found out that this group had been working on cycle projects since 1999 and just about all the harrogate cycling projects over the years had been born from the Harrogate Cycle Group's hard work.

What i got out of the meeting was a feeling that Harrogate Borough Council & North Yorkshire County Council were indifferent towards the needs of cyclist's and the possible reason for this is there's no proper representation for cyclist's in either Council, this being the case Dave Prince (Cycle Harrogate) is embarking upon a campaign & petition to convince North Yorkshire County Council to employ a cycling liaison officer, more to come on this is the near future
